Dear Maritta,

Today I had to go to Aranjuez where, as you know, I was living for twelve years. It’s a very special place, but not for the monumental areas, but for the gardens! They make me think of Kassel and the Aue… I couldn’t find many plastics, which obviosly is good news!

I met an old work colleage and his wife when I was doing a picture in a very funny posture, by the way, and after catching up I told them about our project and the ideas I have for the school, though he was not very optimistic about the changes I could achieve with my students. It was a nice long chat, but suddently the light was gone…

Just one day left!

  1. Dear Olga,

if you take a look at the speech of the 15-year-old Greta Thunberg from Sweden on the climate change conference in Kattowice, you will know, the youth can do it better than the adults. Our generation caused it and now these damaged world is what we leave to our children. Now they are taking the action.

Maybe you can talk about this with your students. And maybe you will have a free working day on Fridays:)

  2. Dear Maritta,
I have just watched some videos of Greta Thunberg, and she made me think of another girl, around 25 years ago, Severn Suzuki, who spoke in 1992 in the climate change conference in Río. She spoke then with the same self confidence and truth, amazing in a 13-year-old girl… But things have not improved, things are worse… Such a powerful voice and we adults just can’t take action, as they just ask us to do and which is what we actually should have started to do long time ago. So hard!

Here you have her speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT_V2zol5sM
