I started this project after having started another one with my students related as well to plastics . Besides, it was perfect because both, Maritta and I, are concerned about the topic and we were eager to create something together.
The project at school has been growing since we started this adventure: the experience of going for a walk focusing on plastics, our conversations about it… New ideas came up every day, and I was so excited with the idea of actually do something to change things that these feelings spread among some of my students. Education is a powerful tool to change behaviours, when you reach the student’s attention and they feel engached
Here it is the beautiful drawing a 12-year-old girl did for the instagram account she created as a way to raise awareness of the plastic issue.
Apart from affecting my teaching life, it has changed my perception of the problem and my personal commitment has grown.
